Counseling Ministry
Counseling and Caring Ministry
Everyone struggles. This world we live in comes with turmoil and strife. The enemy is real. He wants to steal kill and destroy your life (John 10:10). Grief and loss, stress, anxiety, panic attacks, divorce recovery, and anger management all are areas we deal with regularly. Our desire is to see you living the victorious Christian life every day, one step at a time.
Kay Lee, our church counselor, is on staff to help our women and children through prayer and counseling.
"Casting all your anxieties on Him, because He cares for you. Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adveresary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour." - 1 Peter 5:7-8
We care for you, too! Call the church office for an appointment and start the healing process (632-7905). We also have resources (including DVD's) available on Anger Management, Understanding your Emotions, Forgiveness, Overcoming Anxiety. We gladly will refer you to another qualified counselor if you so desire.
You may come by the church office to check these DVD's out.
Our Pastor, Richard Johnson, also offers a variety of counseling services which includes: Marriage counseling, Domestic Violence, Alcohol and Drug Abuse, as well as Family counseling.
FOR PARENTS:

FLOWER MINISTRY:
This is a ministry that runs on behalf of our ladies. Each week these ladies come together to seperate the flower arrangements from the Sunday worship service and put together smaller arrangements with our church name and worship hours listed with each. Sherrie Dyal and Derinda McCall are delivering flowers on Monday mornings. Each lady visits those that are facing surgery, or who recently have visited First Baptist. Our emphasis for the upcoming months will be on couples celebrating anniversaries. Flowers are also delivered at times to business employees that donate their time to First Baptist Church.
